Prayer is an essential tool for healing and is an excellent source of comfort, courage and strength for those who are suffering. During times of illness, disease or a life challenge, nothing is more important than to offer prayer and to join with others in assurance of these prayers.
In addition to prayer, the Saints protect us against harm, help strengthen our faith and offer spiritual guidance and healing. They are our models of prayer and their intercession helps present powerful prayers of healing to God on our behalf.
Our new Patron Saints of Healing line offers hope and comfort to those who seek healing through the intercession of the Saints. Each holy card and medal set includes a high-quality prayer card that contains novena prayers specific to the affliction, a short biography of the patron saint and an oxidized silver patron saint medal.

Saint Dymphna was the daughter of an Irish chieftan, named Damon, and beautiful devoted Christian woman whose name has never been known. Her mother died when she was only 14. Wrought with grief over his wife's death, Damon became mentally ill and began to search for a new bride resembling his wife. When none could be found, his maddened grief lead him to make advances on his beautiful daughter.
Saint Dymphna fought off his advances and fled to Belgium. After an extensive search, her father found her in Gheel, Belgium. Damon demanded that she return with him to Ireland. When she refused, he drew his sword in rage and struck off her head.
The crown of martyrdom was bestowed upon Saint Dymphna about the year 620. Many people suffering with depression or emotional disorders have been miraculously healed at Saint Dymphna's shrine in Gheel, Belgium.
Saint Dymphna is recognized today as the patroness of those who suffer from depression or emotional disorders. Her feast day is May 15th.
